Why Spectre and Meltdown Haven’t Affected These Secure Micros

If you rely on secure microcontrollers to protect digital assets and intellectual property (IP) in the embedded devices that you design, you can rest assured that not all of these microcontrollers are impacted by the Spectre and Meltdown chip vulnerabilities.

Maxim DeepCover® secure microcontrollers based on Arm® Cortex®-M and ARM926™ processors are unaffected by these hardware-based security vulnerabilities. Our USIP PRO secure microcontrollers based on MIPS processors are also not affected, as are our MAXQ family of RISC microcontrollers.
